A Trip to Rockwell Automation's Global Headquarters!

On Friday (2/3), BMES took a group of students to visit Rockwell Automation's Global Headquarters in Milwaukee, WI. The day included lunch with a presentation on Rockwell Automation's business, a talk with the Vice President of Global Commercial Marketing Ninveh Neuman, a tour of the facility, and a networking session in the Rockwell Automation Clock Tower!

Students learned about what Rockwell Automation does, and why it is such a great company to work for! In addition to being innovators in industrialization, Rockwell Automation has recently made efforts to enter the healthcare industry. Notably, they have projects including a therapy bike built for individuals suffers from Parkinson's Disease.

This project has gained a ton of support, including from Google co-founder Sergey Brin! Rockwell Automation is also working to implement its existing products to automate new biomanufacturing processes that have the potential to revolutionize biofabrication. Students also had the opportunity to tour Rockwell Automation's facilities. Notably, we got to see Rockwell's innovative new collaboration spaces, labs, and testing facilities. Everyone was especially impressed with Rockwell's generator that had the ability to produce a 22,000 Amp current in one surge!

To end the day, our students got to network with some of Rockwell Automation's professionals in the world-famous Rockwell Automation Clock Tower! Everyone had a great time and got to practice valuable professional communication skills.

We are very appreciative to Rockwell Automation for hosting such a fantastic event! We look forward to continue working with them to develop innovative ways to help our students develop professionalism and communication skills!
