Northwestern Prosthetics and Orthotics Presentation
David Mysliwy, a Marquette Engineering Alumni, and alumni of Northwestern's Master's Program in Prosthetics and Orthotics gave a joint presentation with Marquette's own Dr. Silver-Thorn the Tuesday before Easter Break (3/27). Thank you to both of them for giving an interesting and captivating presentation on an amazing topic. David Mysliwy talked about his path through engineering and his Master's program, and how he got to where he is today as a clinician in the Prosthetics and Orthotics field . He shared some amazing opportunities and experiences, and gave some wonderful advice. Dr. Silver-Thorn talked about Rehab Engineering, regarding current and upcoming technology in the field, and how to get more involved in the topic at Marquette. BMES wishes Dr. Silver-Thorn the best in her retirement, and we will greatly miss her at Marquette!! Thank you to everyone who came to the presentation; we truly appreciate everyone who came out to the talk and supporting BMES. If anyone has any questions or would like additional information about the topic, please feel free to reach out to a BMES E-Board member!
