Hunger Clean-Up
BMES was proud to pursue another service opportunity by forming a team to participate in Hunger Clean-Up, Marquette's largest day of service. 18 of our dedicated members chose to volunteer Saturday to join many of their peers in giving back to the community. Our group had the opportunity to spend the morning with Milwaukee Riverkeeper cleaning up litter along the Hank Aaron Trail by the river. After volunteering, we met as a group to emphasize the importance of the work we completed, no matter how small scale the work was, and encouraged each other to continue to pursue opportunities to give back to the community surrounding our home for the next couple years (or fewer for our upperclassmen). We look forward to volunteering again next year!
